We’re Back!

It has been a long six months and we are happy to say we are back to business, but not totally as usual. We have seen some changes to our group this fall, meeting online and more time to create.

We are pleased to say we going forward with our Annual Fall Show & Sale on November 7, 2020 at the Montgomery Community Association and are so excited to see you again!

Strict Covid-19 protocols will be in place for the event including mandatory masks, sanitization stations, separate entrance and exit doors, directional viewing traffic, regular site sanitization and of course physical distancing.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to drop us a line!

An Evening with Connie

CG Demo_Group

Connie Geerts is a main stay in the Calgary visual arts scene and we had the privilege of spending the evening with her! Painter, sculptor, teacher, icon, her energy and creativity are boundless.

Connie led us through background prep, layout, importance of shape, soft and hard edges, colour and final product all within 45 minutes of painting. Her ease of technique and brush handling were wonderful! Thank you Connie!!

Coming Soon to a Palette Near You

We are pretty excited about our upcoming Cobra workshop with Darryl W. Funk, BFA! Darryl is with Royal Talens and is making a special trip to visit our group and share with us all the secrets of water mixable oil colour with Cobra paint. We will let you know how it goes!

P.S. The workshop was pretty fantastic and we are so thankful for Darryl! We were joined by Pat and Shirl from Sunnyside Art Supplies and it was marvellous!
